Reinsurance Technician - 12 month FTC

Title: Ceded Reinsurance Technician - 12 Month FTC
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Arthur are currently aligned with a market leading specialty insurer on the appointment of a Ceded Reinsurance Technician. Their team is already strong, incredibly efficient and looking to expand headcount.

You will primarily be responsible for the complete administration and processing of Proportional Treaties as well as the identification and management of the recoveries processes and adjustments. Whilst the role is Proportional focused, it will also offer exposure to XoL contracts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading team and gain varied experience across the reinsurance function. 

Your Role:

• Contract administration using policy administration systems 
• Management of timely premium payments   
• Oversight and management of LORS entries and processes
• Identifying, calculating and accounting for recoverable claims
• Identifying and servicing run-off and legacy accounts
• Widespread liaison with Underwriting, Reserving, Finance, Claims teams
• Effective relationship management with Brokers and Reinsurers 
• Monitoring of debt 
• Provide assistance with facultative, proportional and excess of loss processes as required by the team
• Ad hoc requests on behalf of RI Operations Manager
• Assist with new system implementation 

 
About You: 

• Understanding of Lloyd’s and London market
• 2 to 3 years’ experience of working for a Lloyd’s Syndicate and/or Company market in a ceded reinsurance role
• Experience and thorough understanding of ceded Reinsurance
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software with advanced Excel skills

 
This role would suit existing Reinsurance Technicians currently within a Lloyd's syndicate or brokerage. The role would also suit candidates coming from a reinsurance accounting background.
