Arthur Financial are delighted to partner with a UK insurer to secure an Interim Chief Risk Officer (CRO) as they go through an exciting period of change and transformation.
The role is offered of an FTC initially 12 months but with a view to extend.
The CRO will lead the review of the existing risk framework and processes, before designing, creating, and implementing a new risk management framework and department suitable to support the insurance business. You will then develop and embed the risk management systems and controls to a sufficient level of maturity.
A highly visible and strategic with a hands-on approach. Engaging and advising the CEO and the Board of Directors on the implications on the risk profile of the Company and associated risks of strategic, tactical and operational decisions.
Key partnerships with be with the Actuarial function while assisting the Chief Actuary with the developing of a risk appetite framework. The incumbent will manage a settled Risk team. This is an SMF4 role but will not sit on the board at least initially.
It is expected that the candidate will have significant experience in General Insurance, operating within a risk function. You will have had prior management experience and be comfortable operating at C suite or Senior Management level.
Candidates with a recognised Risk Management qualification and / or a recognised professional qualification e.g. ACA, ACMA, ACCA, IIA, CIP, LLP would be highly desirable.
