A Global Insurer are in search of a Data Governance Manager who will be responsible for driving culture change with respect of data.
The Data Governance Manager will be responsible for ensuring effective partnering of various functions across the business to support data quality.
Specific Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance across the organisation in areas including data validation, business impact of poor data quality, data quality assessment and data process documentation.
Provide training and guidance to Data Owners and Stewards on MDS and data quality processes and their responsibilities.
Manage Master Data Services (MDS) solution with integration to policy administration systems and downstream to financial reporting systems.
Manage existing data quality checks using internal tool, establish and lead data quality projects and initiatives to deliver data quality improvement across corporation.
Lead organisational minimum Data Standards in parallel with data quality findings.
Lead the overall accountability for data integrity by establishing the necessary processes, ownership, and controls around the flow of data from policy and/or claim systems through to financial and reporting systems.
Gather and/or build artefacts in support of above with Data Stewards in various business functions such as; Data Dictionaries, Data Models , Data Flows and Data Ownership.
Essential Skills & Requirements
Proven track record of successful Data Strategy and Data Governance implementation in the London market.
Experience in managing change and embedding new Data Governance processes and standards into projects and BAU activities.
