We are seeking a talented and experienced Platform Engineering Lead to join our team and lead the development and maintenance of our platform infrastructure. As the Platform Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our platform infrastructure. You will lead a team of skilled engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the adoption of best practices for scalability, reliability, and security. Your expertise in Azure and platform engineering will be critical in ensuring the success of the platform and enabling the company to achieve its strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of platform engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
Design, implement, and maintain the platform infrastructure using Azure services and technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to define platform requirements and ensure seamless integration.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance platform performance, scalability, and security.
Develop and enforce best practices for deployment, configuration management, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
Oversee the implementation of infrastructure automation, ensuring efficient and reliable deployments.
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of platform-related issues, working closely with the team to resolve them in a timely manner.
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in Azure and platform engineering, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in platform engineering, with a focus on Azure.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture and familiarity with Azure services (e.g., VMs, storage, networking, containers, security).
Experience leading and managing a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Solid knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).
Deep understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, ELK stack).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
