Junior Catastrophe Analyst

Arthur have partnered with a global leading insurer on the search for a Junior Catastrophe Modelling Analyst. 

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work within the Catastrophe Modelling team on the property and casualty lines of business. You will assist in providing analysis and expertise on Catastrophe Modelling related matters and develop catastrophic peril related projects to help manage risk.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with the underwriting department to interpret Catastrophe Modelling results and providing analysis. 
• Contributing to model validation and portfolio optimisation.
• Streamlining existing processes and introducing new ones to improve efficiency.
• Assisting in event response.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• A degree in Natural Sciences, Geography, Mathematics or a similar discipline 
• Knowledge of the insurance industry 
• Strong technical skills e.g. Excel, VBA, Python, R, ArcGIS
