Lead Data Analyst(Data Science)
 
A leading global insurer are in search of a Lead Data Analyst to join the Reisurance team in their London office.
The successful candidate will work across global office based in Asia and will work within the Analytic and Reinsurance team to help with the development of their insurtech products
You will be responsible transforming data for internal and external use whilst working with the cyber team to understand the effects of cyber risk
 
 
Responsibilities  

• Work with the market leading cyber team to develop innovative risk scoring and accumulation tools to aid the understanding of underlying cyber risk
• Key contributor to ‘big data’ projects which underpins our innovative analytics strategy for Property business: focusing on augmentation of data quality and developing bespoke view of loss.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key brokers, clients, and colleagues
• Understanding the InsurTech landscape and how it could be used to benefit wider analytics objectives

 
Core Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
 

• Masters or PhD in Data Science or numerical subject such as mathematics, engineering or physics
• 1-2 years’ experience in industry, preferably Insurance or Finance
• Experience owning data projects from the start to production
• Ability to outline the benefits of particular projects and their efficiency savings to key stakeholders
• Experience using common coding languages (Python, C++, SQL)
• Able communicate complex ideas to different audiences
• Has a passion for troubleshooting
• Experience working on your own and as part of a wider team
• Ability to handle significant workflow through efficient time management
• Interest and knowledge in the area if InsurTech
