A global re/insurer is looking for a Reserving Manager to join their team in London. The role reports into the Head of Reserving, comes with an analyst for support and will be working alongside the Bermudian office for the transformation project that they are about to embark on. This is a newly created role as they are bringing their reserving in-house from a Big 4 Consultancy and this role will be heavily involved in that project, alongside BAU reserving work. The consolidation part of the project has started with implementation planned for the New Year so the successful candidate would be involved almost from the start and they are looking for someone to bring ideas to the table and bring a new perspective. This is a worldwide project, which is why the Bermuda based team will also be involved in the work. To start with, the successful candidate won't have managerial responsibilities as our clients plan is to allow the individual to settle in to the business before increasing their responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have extensive reserving experience, preferably within a Lloyd's environment and those with prior transformation experience will be highly suitable, as will those from a consulting background. Experience is more important to them than qualification, as is culture fit and communication skills due to how important this role is for the business.
You will be required to be in the office 3 days a week and unfortunately our client cannot offer sponsorship at this time.
