Senior Project Manager – Up to £95,000 + bonus + benefits

Our client, one of the world’s largest insurance brokers and risk management firms, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Global Business Integrations Team in London.
 
The successful candidate would be a deadline-driven natural leader who excels at creative problem-solving.  As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and developing a range of high-priority projects that are a part of an integral company-wide transformation programme. Additionally, your responsibilities will include assembling and delivering integration management initiatives across their global organisation to support the long-term global strategy.
 
Being well versed in both the Lloyd’s/London insurance market, products, legal principles, services, and practices relating to risk would be advantageous. Although wider insurance market experience would also be suitable.
 
About the role

  • Oversee the full project life cycle from inception to delivery for multiple projects
  • Lead and coach the project team
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish the project structure, teams, and roles to ensure the successful project delivery
  • Make certain that projects align with the organisation’s change methodologies
  • Liaise with the Chief Integrations Officer to ensure alignment with the wider portfolio of projects
  • Providing detailed reports regarding project risk, issues, dependencies and benefits to key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Integrate and manage external IT suppliers

 
The ideal candidate

  • Skilled in Visio and MS Project or similar Project software
  • Familiar with MS Office
  • Experience leading the full life cycle of mid-large scale projects
  • Capable of negotiating and influencing business decisions with senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with offshore-based resources
  • Prioritise and monitor goals and initiatives
  • Experience with conflict resolution and ability to be proactive with ongoing issues
  • A natural leader with a positive attitude and a desire to motivate a dedicated team
  • Exposure to different methodologies including (but not limited to) Agile and Waterfall
  • Project Management PMP or Prince 2 certification advantageous
