Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst – Lloyd’s Market

A fast-growing Lloyd’s insurer is seeking a Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst with 3 years’ experience in the London market and a strong STEM background.

Key Highlights
  • Join a dynamic Exposure Management team supporting multiple global underwriting units.
  • Oversee daily modelling submissions and ensure high-quality analytical output.
  • Guide junior colleagues and resolve complex modelling queries.
  • Lead portfolio roll-ups, deliver clear insights to underwriting teams and enhance monthly MI.
  • Support in-house modelling for complex accounts and event-driven analysis.
  • Improve processes through automation, scripting and workflow optimisation projects.
  • Contribute to documentation, model reviews, business planning and model change assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting, actuarial, claims, reinsurance and operations.
Ideal Profile
  • 3 years in catastrophe modelling or exposure management within the Lloyd’s/London market.
  • Strong analytical skillset with natural sciences, mathematics or related STEM background.
  • Experience using RMS (preferred), AIR will also be considered.
  • Confident communicator able to partner effectively across the business.
  • Proactive, organised and eager to advance team capabilities.

Senior Legal Counsel - Credit & Political Risk

Exclusively working with a leading (re)insurance broker who are seeking to hire a Senior Counsel. The role will support both the centralised legal function and lead the firm's Trade Credit, Political Risk and Surety division from a legal perspective. As Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for: Policy Wording Drafting & Review across Political Risk, Surety & Credit Risk. Providing guidance to clients on policy wording compliance and coverage issues, related to Basel directives. Assisting on claims and restructuring of policies. Supporting on complex financing arrangements and documentation. Supporting the central legal function across commercial contracts and regulatory advice. Providing education, training and support on relevant legal issues to the wider business. Running litigation matters and liaising with external counsel when needed. The successful candidate must be a qualified lawyer with at least 10 years PQE, with strong experience in Private Practice and In-House. Strong experience of Insurance Law, particularly in the Credit/Surety space is essential. A very attractive salary and package (bonus up to 30%) and other great benefits are on offer. This role is a hybrid position, typically 3 days a week in the office.

This is a highly varied reserving position reporting into the Head of Reserving and working closely with the Chief Actuary and various other teams within the business such as Capital, Finance and Underwriting. This is a non-regulatory role helping with reviewing, improving and implementing reserving processes for UK and US with clear progression and ownership over work, including opportunities to present at board.  Our client are looking for a part to nearly qualified actuarial analyst with 2 years of reserving experience, and an understanding of the impact and importance of the work they do. This would be well suited to someone in consulting looking to move into industry and still wanting a breadth of work. This role will require you to be in the office 3 days a week in London and our client can only consider UK based individuals with full working rights.
