The Opportunity You will play a key role in driving and placing complex international wholesale cyber risks into the London Market and global reinsurance markets. Working alongside regional offices and producing brokers worldwide, you will structure and negotiate sophisticated cyber placements across multiple jurisdictions. This role offers the platform, autonomy and infrastructure to further build a significant book within a well-established global brand. Key Responsibilities Placing complex standalone and blended cyber risks across international territories Structuring programmes for large corporates, financial institutions, tech firms and emerging sectors Leading negotiations with London Market carriers, including Lloyd’s and company markets Advising producing brokers globally on cyber wordings, coverage enhancements and placement strategy Developing new insurer relationships and expanding market capacity Contributing to growth strategy across emerging cyber products (systemic risk, ransomware, infrastructure exposure) Mentoring junior brokers within the cyber team Candidate Profile Proven experience as a Cyber Broker within the London Market Strong exposure to international or wholesale placements Deep understanding of cyber policy structures, exclusions, systemic risk and aggregation issues Established insurer relationships across Lloyd’s and company markets Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability Entrepreneurial mindset with a growth-oriented approach Why This Role? Exclusively working with a leading (re)insurance broker who are seeking to hire a Senior Counsel. The role will support both the centralised legal function and lead the firm's Trade Credit, Political Risk and Surety division from a legal perspective. As Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for: Policy Wording Drafting & Review across Political Risk, Surety & Credit Risk. Providing guidance to clients on policy wording compliance and coverage issues, related to Basel directives. Assisting on claims and restructuring of policies. Supporting on complex financing arrangements and documentation. Supporting the central legal function across commercial contracts and regulatory advice. Providing education, training and support on relevant legal issues to the wider business. Running litigation matters and liaising with external counsel when needed. The successful candidate must be a qualified lawyer with at least 10 years PQE, with strong experience in Private Practice and In-House. Strong experience of Insurance Law, particularly in the Credit/Surety space is essential. A very attractive salary and package (bonus up to 30%) and other great benefits are on offer. This role is a hybrid position, typically 3 days a week in the office.

This is a highly varied reserving position reporting into the Head of Reserving and working closely with the Chief Actuary and various other teams within the business such as Capital, Finance and Underwriting. This is a non-regulatory role helping with reviewing, improving and implementing reserving processes for UK and US with clear progression and ownership over work, including opportunities to present at board.  Our client are looking for a part to nearly qualified actuarial analyst with 2 years of reserving experience, and an understanding of the impact and importance of the work they do. This would be well suited to someone in consulting looking to move into industry and still wanting a breadth of work. This role will require you to be in the office 3 days a week in London and our client can only consider UK based individuals with full working rights.
