A leading insurer is currently seeking an actuarial analyst/actuary to join their Finance team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating quarterly reserving, business planning, and aspects of capital modelling, as well as general business analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
Production, monitoring, and communication of quarterly reserves on an IFRS4 and IFRS17 basis.
Portfolio segmentation and business steerage
Actuarial input into the annual business planning process
Input into the insurance risk parameterisation process
Set the bar for simplification of existing processes and develop the department’s technical capabilities
Skills & Experience:
Part/nearly/newly qualified actuarial analyst/actuary with General Insurance experience.
Strong academic record, with at least a 2:1 degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Business
Coding skills in one or more of the following: R, SAS, SQL, VBA
Ability to influence key stakeholders
Knowledge of various reserving techniques and familiarity with ResQ (desirable).
