Role: Assistant Company Secretary / CoSec Lead Contract: Permanent Location: London – Hybrid Salary: £60K - £75K DOE
The Client Our client is a global specialty insurance agency that focuses on complex product lines within a digitised operating model. They have experienced rapid global growth over the last 3 years and are now looking to further bolster their teams.
The Role This role demonstrates the right blend of technical knowledge across governance and company secretarial which will require the individual to have excellent communication skills and be able to operate across multiple teams in a fast-moving environment as a self-starter.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide a full suite of company secretarial support to relevant boards and committees across multiple jurisdictions.
Assist in the organisation of board meetings, arranging meeting agendas, materials and production of minutes.
Act as company secretary for UK/international service companies, providing advice on statutory compliance, regulatory and governance requirements.
Undertake board and committee effectiveness reviews and reports, as necessary.
Assist with onboarding and coordination of any director, including training requirements.
Overseeing corporate governance requirements for each entity, including directorships
Monitoring changes in legislation, updating boards and management teams on legal and regulatory developments that impact the company.
Liaise with external advisors to ensure requirements are met and understood in various territories.
Key skills and experience we are looking for:
UK CoSec function experience is essential, ideally within the Lloyd’s market.
Good understanding of regulatory handbooks, rules, and guidance applicable to the insurance sector.
Good experience working within an MGA, insurer or broker.
Good communications skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
Confidence and willingness to pursue delivery to challenging timescales in a complex environment.
Good knowledge of the global insurance market with Lloyd’s Principles in mind.
Good level of IT literacy, particularly in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
