As a Binding Authority Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the effective administration of binding authority agreements. This includes drafting and maintaining contracts, managing Lloyd’s Atlas entries, ensuring all regulatory documentation is accurate, and coordinating audit and compliance activity. You will work closely with internal MGUs, brokers and stakeholders across the business, gaining exposure to the full delegated authority lifecycle within an innovative and international environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drafting and maintaining binding authority agreements and endorsements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Managing Atlas updates and annual compliance checks in line with Lloyd’s requirements.
  • Ensuring all letters of authority are documented and valid for underwriting activities.
  • Providing administrative support to internal MGUs and brokers across the delegated underwriting process.
  • Coordinating audit requests and following through on recommendations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and organising documentation within internal systems.
  • Identifying and supporting process improvements across the delegated authority function.

Experience you’ll need:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of Lloyd’s and company market practices desirable.
  • Familiarity with Lloyd’s systems such as Atlas, DCOM and DAM would be advantageous.
