I am currently working with a client in the insurance sector who is actively searching for a Business Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis (paying £50,000 - £65,000 DOE)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a key member of the team, you'll collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst to uncover, delineate, and document business processes and requirements as voiced by business unit stakeholders. Your primary responsibility is bridging the gap between business units and project teams, facilitating dialogue to devise effective solutions that align with project objectives. Additionally, you may contribute to quality assurance testing efforts.

You'll serve as the primary liaison for IT matters, managing communications with our service providers . Expect to engage with various functions, making this role ideal for individuals well-versed in the intricacies of the London Market and its operational dynamics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of relevant business domains to formulate comprehensive requirements.
  • Employ various methodologies such as meetings, workshops, interviews, and job shadowing to establish robust relationships with stakeholders, facilitating the elicitation and documentation of business processes and requirements.
  • Influence the refinement of business processes and requirements by providing recommendations and proposing alternatives to determine optimal approaches.
  • Translate user needs into precise, detailed, and thoroughly documented use cases, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain control over requirements scope and manage changes throughout the delivery lifecycle.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Proficient in IT, capable of resolving local issues and escalating complex ones to relevant external or outsourced parties.
  • Sound understanding of the London Market and/or insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate robust working relationships with various key stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, employing a structured and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills characterized by a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor. This role involves frequent interaction with individuals at all levels, demanding resilience, diplomacy, and adeptness in handling multiple stakeholders.
