A global insurer are looking for a capital actuary to join their London team and report to the Group Head of Capital. The position will also work closely with the CRO, Reserving teams and the Exposure Management teams, which makes it a very visible position within the business. The key responsibilities of the role include:
Helping with the day-to-day management and upkeep of the internal models
Supporting Head of Capital with technical pricing and actively contribute to decisions around outwards reinsurance purchasing
Working closely with other teams in the business to ensure the calibration of risk for the past, present, and future
Aiding the strategic placement of the underwriting risk
Desirable skills and experience:
A nearly / newly qualified actuary, or someone with up to 2 years of post qualification experience
Strong working knowledge of at least one capital modelling platform
Prior exposure to underwriting risk and / or exposure management
Comfortable liaising with other teams and internal stakeholders
