Arthur have partnered with a leading global Reinsurance and Insurance firm on the search for a Catastrophe Modelling analyst to join their London team. 
 
This is a newly created position within a fast growing area of the business within the catastrophe modelling team with a focus on the Specialty classes. You will be responsible for managing catastrophe exposures for specialty lines of business including energy, fine art & specie units with interaction on Property lines during busy periods. The catastrophe modelling team are integrated within a central team and work collaboratively with actuaries, underwriters and various internal stakeholders.

As a catastrophe analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Pre-bind pricing of natural catastrophe risk for the Specialty classes (Energy, Construction, Fine Art, Specie, Marine and Cargo) 
  • Model catastrophe risks using AIR vendor models for natural catastrophe risks. 
  • Communicate model output to key stakeholders, including underwriters, actuarial and senior management.
  • Support catastrophe event response reporting. 
  • Develop and embded tools to help streamline the catastrophe modelling processes.
  • Support the Exposure Management team with the monthly roll-up.
