Title: Ceded Reinsurance Technician
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £70,000

Arthur are currently aligned with a market leading specialty insurer on the appointment of a Ceded Reinsurance Technician. Their team is already strong and incredibly efficient and looking to expand headcount.

You will be responsible for the complete administration of reinsurance contracts as well as the management of the Proportional and XoL recoveries processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading team and gain varied experience across the reinsurance function. My client handles a wide range of specialty and non-specialty classes and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain exposure across both.

Your Role:

- Own the reinsurance portfolio and administration of reinsurance contracts, ensuring group compliance.
- Ownership of a pre allocated group of proportional accounts.
- Run the XoL reinsurance claims recovery process.
- Calculation of core facultative recovery figures.
- Contribute towards the monthly gross and net close process.
- Stay up to date with changes in net triangles and address any queries arising as a result of movement.
- Calculate premium adjustments.
- Liaise with wider reinsurance team, brokers and reinsurers appropriately.
- Ad-hoc Reinsurance related projects at the request of the Reinsurance Operations Manager.

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience working within a Lloyds Syndicate/London company market within a ceded reinsurance function.
- Able to calculate recoveries across a range of reinsurance types, proportional experience required.
- Able to identify applicable reinsurances.
- Strong communicative skills and confident interacting with managers, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Detail orientated and quantitative.
