A leading managing general agency focused on specialty insurance has partnered with me to search for a Claims Adjuster with exposure to multiple lines of business. The successful individual will be responsible for ensuring that the company continues to deliver a high-quality claims service to policyholders, brokers, underwriters and capacity providers.
The ideal candidate will be a conscientious, flexible, and hardworking claims professional ideally with experience in diverse first and third-party classes of business.
You will be responsible for:
Proactively handle claims on behalf of the company’s capacity providers from first notification of loss to settlement, within relevant authority
Actively work with a panel of external legal, accounting and loss adjusting vendors during claims investigations
Ensuring there is prompt and accurate reserving, identify and pursue potential subrogated recovery opportunities to reduce leakage
Identify and escalate claims related issues to Claims Director and elsewhere as appropriate
General claims administrative duties such as electronic file management filing and making indemnity and expense payments
To build and maintain excellent client relationships and look after key accounts through providing timely and clear correspondence and advice
Liaise with respective underwriters on wording / policy issues and enhancements and provide claims information and commentary where desired.
Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience handling claims from FNOL to settlement across multiple lines of business, ideally with a good understanding of the London insurance market
Demonstrate strong written and spoken communication skills
Have good IT (Microsoft Office) skills, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
Possess strong independent organisational skills
