Arthur is proud to be partnering with our client in their search for a Professional Lines and Casualty Claims Manager. My client is a highly regarded company within the London market who specialises in the management of discontinued insurance and reinsurance portfolios. Responsibilities:
To support the Head of Claims to deliver the Company’s strategic initiatives and objectives and be involved in designing the same
Implement internal procedures and processes to effectively drive the strategic aims of the Company ensuring adherence and consistency across the team
Support and implement the Claims Handling guidelines including claims handling strategy for complex claims and providing support and oversight to the wider team regarding settlement strategies and management of external experts and lawyers
Provide support to the Head of Claims to ensure reports and controls are in place to ensure appropriate management of the claims process and all internal and external reporting requirements are met
Directly handle Complex Claims to a high standard, liaising with the Complex Claims Teams as required, identifying and pursuing opportunities to create value and protect the company’s position through proactive handling of claims
Proven knowledge of Professional Lines & Casualty including Cyber
Weekly reporting to the Head of Claims on significant new claims/claim movements/key milestones as well as claim KPIs and team performance against said KPIs
Regular reviews of KPIs and team performance utilising appropriate tools and systems
Attend regular meetings with claims and actuarial teams to ensure mutual exchange of information and joined up response to emerging issues
Make effective decisions when dealing with complex technical claims scenarios
Requirements:
In-depth insurance industry knowledge and experience, focusing on advising on claims and underwriting matters for Professional Lines & Casualty
Excellent team working ethic with excellent customer service approach
Ability to manage, develop and retain talented claim professionals
Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Able to present on a wide variety of topics at short notice
Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment, quickly identifying and solving problems
