Arthur are assisting a Lloyds market business who are looking to add a Compliance Analyst to their team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working across multiple jurisdictions worldwide, collaborating with members of those teams accordingly.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the maintenance of the Operational Risk Database and help to ensure all compliance risks are managed effectively.
  • Becoming a sme on sanctions compliance and financial crime.
  • Assessing sanctions alerts and resolving potential sanctions matches, conducting outreach to appropriate stakeholders if required.
  • Carrying out due diligence on potential matches to sanctioned individuals or entities.
  • Maintaining adequate and organised evidence supporting review and investigation outcomes.
  • Providing sanctions advice to the business and escalate potential sanctions matches to the Compliance Manager for guidance.
  • Providing support in identifying relevant new or changed compliance risks and regulatory requirements for example, by conducting regulatory horizon scanning. Support in the delivery and reporting of the Clubs’ compliance monitoring programme.
  • Supporting in the delivery of the compliance monitoring plan.
  • Supporting in the preparation of director or senior manager function applications in all jurisdictions in which it operates, including the UK, Australia, Bermuda, Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA.
  • Providing ad hoc compliance support to the Compliance Manager and Director of Risk & Compliance as required.

About you:

  • Compliance experience within the Insurance market would be a bonus
  • Understanding of sanctions regimes.
  • Good comprehension in navigating the FCA handbook and PRA rulebook.
  • Understanding of World-Check One or similar software.
  • Critical thinker with an eye for detail.
  • Be proactive and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Confidently liaise with different internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
