Arthur are working with a leading reinsurance broker as they seek a Compliance Business Partner to join their growing team.
Reporting into the Head of Compliance, you will be a key figurehead in the growth of the wider team, with progression opportunities that aren't commonplace in the market.

Key Duties:

  • Assisting the Head of Compliance with the development and implementation of the annual compliance plan, including tracking the activities and priorities of the dedicated compliance resources against the identified targets.
  • Preparing relevant MI to the Head of Compliance and CRO and to appropriate forums and committees on all compliance matters.
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders across various business divisions to find solutions that meet regulatory requirements in line with commercial targets.
  • Arranging interactions with the wider team and provide guidance on the implementation of the relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Cooperating in regulatory change projects as a key team member and prepare progress reports on an ad hoc basis.
  • Liaising with Operations, Finance and Compliance to compile and review quarterly returns to the FCA.
  • Working in tandem with the Compliance Monitoring team on scheduled thematic reviews.
  • Aiding with the execution of controls to ascertain that employees have completed their mandatory training requirements.
  • Helping the Central Sanctions team to streamline the broking teams' sanction screening processes and advise when escalation is required.
  • Collaborating with the Business Support team on an ad hoc basis, helping in responding to compliance and regulatory queries from the wider team.


About You:

  • Impeccanble knowledge of the FCA handbook & SMCR principles.
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance and commercial insurance products.
  • Able to respond to escalating developments in a prompt and precise manner.
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory themes or requirements clearly.
  • Able to engage effectively with stakeholders of all levels across the business.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
