Arthur are working with a leading insurance broker as they look to add a Compliance Manager with regulatory expertise in SMCR and ICOBS to their growing team.
Reporting into the Senior Compliance Manager, you will play an integral role in aiding the wider team with regulatory engagement and other processes. This opportunity offers the chance to become part of an exciting project which is unlike other vacancies in the market at present!
Core Responsibilities
Establishing yourself as the compliance function's regulatory contact, making sure that communications are conducted in a transparent and concise way, in cooperation with the Head of Compliance.
Taking complete charge of the overseas licensing process including renewals, certifying that licenses are in place to aid the production activities of the business and ongoing Compliance with relevant laws. This will also include being the initial escalation point for
ll Regulator or Licensing queries.
Ascertaining that regulatory returns and approvals are filed in a prompt manner, including the use of the Connect and RegData platforms.
Being responsible for the SMCR framework to verify the appropriate documentation of senior management responsibilities.
Carrying out horizon scanning across UK and International jurisdictions to ensure suitable oversight of regulatory and legislative changes impacting the wider business.
Chipping in to Board reporting on an ad hoc basis, escalating any pressing issues in the process.
Key Skills/Proficiencies
Your background will be within the Regulatory Compliance space in Insurance. (Lloyd's market is preferred)
Strong understanding of ICOBS is essential.
Previous experience in Licensing and SMCR.
Ability to manage, prioritise and work independently.
Impeccable working attitude looking to level up and develop.
