Job Title: Compliance Manager 
Pay: £90,000 - £110,000
Located: London/Hybrid

Role
The Compliance Manager will be the primary and first point of contact for regulators , including the FCA, Lloyds & PRA. You will be directly involved in or responsible for overseeing all interactions including, meetings, notifications and reporting. 

Duties

  • Lead and manage relationship with regulators on a day to day basis.
  • Act as first point of contact. 
  • Build effective relationships. 
  • Provide support – from managing meetings, notifications and ad hoc reporting.
  • Conduct critical assessments of information being provided to regulators and consumer associations via Compliance. 
  • Ensure that regulatory meetings and other communications are monitored and that actions from these are captured and tracked, escalating any issues.
  • Act as point of contact for staff within the regional team in relation to regulatory requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct initial horizon scanning to identify regulatory developments which impact insurers. 
  • Work with Deputy General Counsel–to determine whether developments have a regional or local impact. 
  • Where developments are material regional impact, produce impact assessments, support gap analysis work and hand across to the relevant team for implementation.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Compliance staff within the region and business in relation to regulatory interactions, notifications, applications and reporting.
  • Manage Compliance’s work on the UK individual accountability regime.
  • Support the provision of regular information and analysis regarding the work of the Regulatory Services team, who contribute to ensuing that regulatory expectations are met.
  • Support the Regional Compliance Officer and other members of the function in relation to internal reporting obligations to various forums
  • Work closely with the Local Compliance Officer - Ensure they are updated on interactions with UK regulators
  • Work closely on regulatory developments.
  • Provide support to and carry out work as directed by the Deputy Regional  Compliance Officer. 

Experience required: 

  • Have good knowledge of the insurance industry. 
  • Have an excellent understanding of the UK regulatory environment. 
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
