Arthur are working with a leading Insurer who are looking for a Compliance Officer to join their Compliance Policy Team.
The Compliance Policy Team is responsible for carrying out horizon scanning and maintaining Compliance policies for the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Region. They also manage a number of compliance frameworks, including breaches & incidents remediation and conflicts of interest.
As a member of the team, you will be helping them to scrutinise policies and frameworks, coordinating across multiple jurisdictions to ensure that any reported developments or issues are recorded and updated as necessary. Key Responsibilities:
Holding a strong technical knowledge of regulations, keeping up to speed with the latest regulatory changes.
Horizon scanning for new EU legislative and regulatory developments which could impact the company.
Ensuring that new horizon scanning developments across the region are recorded are kept up to date.
Supporting the developing, amending and regular reviewing of all policies and procedures to establish and maintain standards of compliance with legislation, regulation, and codes of practice.
Attending internal committees to provide updates on your areas of focus.
Raising their market profile through interactions with insurance associations and regulators.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Ability to extract and summarise the key information from long documents such as consultations or draft legislation
Experience of working in Compliance, at a consultancy or regulator)Comfortable working in a regional team where a number of key stakeholders are based in other countries.
Able to influence and coordinate between those working in other teams or countries
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational skills and adept at managing competing priorities
Comfortable dealing with senior managersOther European languages (especially French) is a bonus
