Arthur are working with an up-and-coming Lloyd's syndicate that are looking to add a Conduct Risk Officer to their back office function.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and embed the Conduct Risk Framework in line with regulatory requirements and business strategy.
Ensure conduct risk is appropriately identified, assessed, and monitored across the business.
Design and deliver conduct risk MI and reporting to senior management, the Risk Committee, and the Board.
Monitor and assess conduct-related risks and indicators, identifying trends and areas requiring remedial action.
Ensure compliance with FCA and Lloyd’s conduct standards including Consumer Duty, SMCR, and Lloyd’s Principles.
Liaise with Lloyd’s, the FCA, and other regulators as required on matters relating to conduct and culture.
Provide subject matter expertise to the business on all aspects of conduct risk, customer fairness, and ethical behaviour.
Deliver training and awareness programmes across the syndicate to promote a positive conduct culture.
Maintain and update conduct-related policies and procedures, ensuring clarity and operational effectiveness.
Support internal governance by contributing to relevant committees and working groups.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a conduct risk, compliance, or risk management role within insurance or financial services—experience within the Lloyd’s market is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including FCA, PRA, and Lloyd’s Minimum Standards.
Strong understanding of the Lloyd's Complaints process, including using CareSmart.
Knowledge of Consumer Duty, SMCR, and other relevant conduct regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
Strong analytical skills and experience in producing insightful MI and risk reports.
Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Qualifications:
Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Business, Risk, Finance) or equivalent experience.
Professional qualifications such as ICA, IRM, ACII, or similar are advantageous.
