An insurer with a global presence in London is seeking for a Data Quality and Governance Lead on a permanent basis. Data plays a vital role in their operational, strategic and regulated activities. They are seeking to manage their data effectively to guarantee quality, generate insights, and enable informed decision-making across the Syndicate. 

As a Data Governance Lead, you'll be implementing the data governance framework, overseeing all data governance activities throughout the organization, and taking charge of enhancing the quality and safeguarding of sensitive data and information assets.

The role will focus on creating and enforcing an enterprise data governance framework that covers data policies, standards, and practices at both the department and business/functional areas level, to achieve consistency, quality, and protection that meet the overall business and regulatory requirements.

The following skills are essential for success in this position:
 

• Proven experience in the Data Governance/Quality domain
• Exposure in Governance Manager or Lead role for 2 years+
• Experience working in a Syndicate environment at Lloyds market, preferably 3 years or more
• Experience in creating Data Quality reporting processes and providing MI support
• Understanding of the essential metrics and reporting KPI's required for measurement and reporting
• Hands-on experience in creating the necessary templates, roles, responsibilities, and processes that comprise a data governance toolkit/framework
