Are you an experienced insurance professional with previous line management experience? Do you have a background in delegated authority, underwriting governance, or underwriting operations? If so, we have a rare opportunity for you to join a leading Lloyd’s managing agent within a highly respected Delegated Underwriting team as a Manager.
In this rewarding role, you will lead a team of 3 direct reports and be responsible for conducting 1:1s, annual reviews, and managing the allocation of work within the team. You will also serve as a referral point for queries and be hands-on in the day-to-day operations of the team, pulling together to tackle busy times.
As the Delegated Underwriting Manager, you will be responsible for coverholder management and conducting risk due diligence, along with having the opportunity to deputise for the Head of Delegated Underwriting on internal committees.
To be considered for this position, you should have previous line management experience and a background in delegated authority, underwriting governance, or underwriting operations. The right attitude and willingness to learn are also important. You should also have strong general insurance knowledge.
