Arthur is partnering with a leading Lloyd’s Syndicate who is hiring a Director of Operations.
This position is instrumental in shaping and executing operational strategy, driving performance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the UK and MENA regions.
The successful candidate will oversee the Underwriting Support Teams for both regions, as well as lead the Operational Excellence and Optimisation teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering consistent, high-quality operations. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Underwriting Support Team to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance across UK & MENA.
Drive development through the Training & Development team to enhance operational capability and service excellence.
Oversee the Optimisation Team to identify and implement innovative underwriting process improvements and efficiencies.
Collaborate with operational leaders across the business to align team efforts with strategic objectives.
Represent Operations on internal and external committees.
Stay informed of market changes and initiatives, understanding their impact on business operations.
Partner with the Executive Team to shape operational strategies and provide insight-driven recommendations.
Sponsor and lead critical operational projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope.
Partner with the Operational Excellence Leader to ensure consistent application of the operating model.
The ideal candidate will be strategic, collaborative and bring senior leadership experience within complex, multi-region environments, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence and transformational change.
