Executive Assistant – 6-Month Fixed Term Contract London | Financial Services (Insurance preferred) £60,000 (pro-rata)
A high-growth financial services organisation within the insurance sector is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to provide high-level support to the CEO, executive leadership team, and board members (including internationally based directors). This is a critical role in a fast-paced, evolving environment, requiring strong judgement, discretion, and the ability to operate as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders. Office presence is 75% during probation, reducing to 60% thereafter, agreed on a weekly schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Proactive management of complex diaries, schedules, and international travel for senior executives and board members
Acting as a key liaison between executives, internal teams, and external stakeholders
Handling sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion
Supporting board and executive meetings, including preparation of papers, presentations, and correspondence
Coordinating events, off-sites, and conferences
Supporting the onboarding of new board members and senior leaders
Managing expenses, invoices, and related administrative processes
Providing ad-hoc executive and project support as required
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant supporting senior leadership
Background in Financial Services, with insurance / Lloyd’s / London Market experience strongly preferred
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail
Advanced MS Office capability (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
High levels of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement
Comfortable working in a dynamic, changeable environment
Able to work independently while supporting a wider leadership team
