Arthur have partnered with a leading London insurance company to hire an Exposure Management Analyst to join the London team.

As Exposure Management Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work within the Modelling Team to Model Nat Cat Risk to report global exposures. You'll have the opportunity to work on various projects, utilise cutting-edge in-house tools, and provide valuable insights to our Underwriters for technical pricing and loss estimation. This is a great opportunity for a graduate looking to kick start their career within Catastrophe Modelling and Exposure Management. 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Process and analyse natural catastrophe risk information, evaluating submissions and conducting data quality analysis
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters, delivering key findings and insights derived from the output
  • Enhance the underwriting process by providing valuable insights into the modelled output and ensuring the reliability of results
  • Maintain comprehensive information in our internal system, providing support for the design and testing of new tools
  • Contribute to the development of our analytical capabilities, including hardware and software, utilising in-house tools and models
  • Utilise SQL queries to retrieve and update modelling information as needed
  • Undertake any additional duties as required to support the team

The ideal candidate will be: 

  • Educated to A Level
  • Educational background within Mathematics, Geography, Science 
  • Knowledge of Excel (SQL and VBA are an advantage) 
  • An interest and understanding of the Insurance Market and Catastrophe Modelling
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
