Finance & Actuarial Systems Support Manager – Leeds (Hybrid) – £60-70k
A Finance & Actuarial Systems Support Manager is required by a global leader in Insurance and Reinsurance. This is an excellent opportunity for a Systems Support Manager with insurance or financial services experience to step into a pivotal role with a global insurance giant.
This role will be based in the fast-growing Leeds office, with hybrid working arrangements (2-3 days per week on site) and pay a base salary of £60-70k per annum. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL experience, experience implementing CI/CD, and a background in Microsoft programming (C# and .net).
Role responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team is resourced to meet day to day and project demands
  • Drive the continuous improvement and development of processes and systems across Finance & Actuarial
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Partner with business, Finance, Actuarial and IT to drive best practice sharing, efficiencies and enhanced controls 
  • Lead to IT roadmap to design and develop best in class applications
  • Lead the collaboration across Finance, Actuarial and wider teams (including 3rd parties) to continually review the service provided to end-users and customers
  • Drive a culture of risk avoidance by ensuring all risks are self-identified and have a timely mitigation plan in place and ensuring adequate controls are in place to govern the access

Required skills/experience:

  • Proven experience of leading a systems development, application maintenance and User Support team. Systems include: TM1, Tagetik, custom built SQL applications (SSIS, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps), ResQ
  • Significant experience of managing relationships with internal and external business customers at a senior level 
  • Considerable experience and understanding of the project lifecycle and process methodologies
  • Experience in identifying opportunities to drive forward systems changes and innovation to meet stakeholder, customer and business needs.
  • Proven experience of practical application of ITIL framework approach
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and motivating teams
  • Experience in working in a Finance and/or Actuarial environment.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance & Actuarial Systems Support Manager to join a global leading insurance company from their Leeds office. The role will have a hybrid working environment, 2-3 days per week in the office. Salary £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.
