A prestigious Lloyd’s of London Insurance Firm, centrally located in The City of London, is on the lookout for a motivated and qualified Finance Business Partner to join their elite team on a permanent basis. This role is integral to the company’s operations, offering a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team and make a significant impact on the firm's financial strategy and performance.

Role Overview:

You will serve as the principal point of contact for various internal teams, including underwriting, and external stakeholders. The primary responsibilities will encompass the comprehensive analysis of both Group and Syndicate Reinsurance Management Information (MI), with full ownership of the Profit & Loss statements, both technical and non-technical. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in business planning and forecasting, ensuring the firm’s strategic objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering in-depth Management Information (MI) reports to the Board, providing clear insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Producing comprehensive reports and analyses on Reinsurance MI, ensuring accuracy and clarity for senior stakeholders.
  • Leading the annual and strategic planning activities of the Group, driving key financial initiatives.
  • Providing detailed financial analysis for senior stakeholders and Board members, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Assisting the CFO with the preparation of board packs and accompanying commentary, enhancing the quality of board presentations.
  • Overseeing capital and balance sheet management, ensuring financial stability and compliance.
  • Playing a crucial role in developing and enhancing financial reporting processes, promoting efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ICAEW or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience in the London market insurance sector.
  • Demonstrated analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • Proven track record of engaging with senior stakeholders and managing complex financial data effectively.
  • Advanced system and IT skills, with the ability to leverage technology for improved financial reporting and analysis.
