My client is a leading player in the insurance industry, committed to delivering exceptional financial solutions and safeguarding their clients interests. As they continue to expand their central functions they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic team based in the City of London.
Responsibilities;
Oversee and manage the financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting deadlines are achieved.
Oversee and manage the production of financial reporting and monthly management accounts.
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, contributing to the development and execution of business plans.
Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Line manage one junior, providing day-to-day guidance and support with their professional development.
You must be;
Qualified accountant with a recognised professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Minimum of 3 years of post-qualified experience in finance, with a focus on the insurance industry.
In-depth knowledge of insurance accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
