Our client, a market leading global insurer, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager for their UK operations. Reporting to and supporting the Head of Finance, this role will lead the financial management, reporting, and analysis for the UK business and supporting the global organisation. As a trusted business partner, the Finance Manager will collaborate closely with various teams, including UK Traditional Pricing, Business Development, and other Finance and Business stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Produce and report regular management, financial, and regulatory reports for the UK Traditional business, including journal review, reporting pack preparation, and board paper assistance.
Conduct detailed analysis of results, collaborating with a variety of teams to reconcile, analyse, and comment on results.
Support the global operations and reporting processes.
Act as a finance business partner to the pricing, BD teams and other senior stakeholders.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance team, providing coaching, support, and on-the-job training to junior staff.
Liaise with external and internal audit teams.
Support UK Finance SOX, EUC, Risk Review, and Internal Audit processes, including policy and documentation review and update.
Requirements:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Proficient understanding of US/IFRS/UK GAAP accounting principle and ideally Solvency II
Previous involvement in financial and regulatory reporting within the insurance or reinsurance sector
Demonstrated expertise in team management.
