We are working with a leading General Insurer in their search for a Financial Crime Officer.

Your Role
Support the identification, assessment, and ongoing monitoring of financial crime risks, and provide regular reports to management on the effectiveness of internal controls and systems.
Develop and maintain financial crime policies and procedures to enhance staff awareness and uphold high standards across the business.
Design, implement, and deliver comprehensive training programmes on financial crime prevention.
Coordinate key initiatives and provide project support as needed.
Monitor and analyse data to support regular reporting cycles and complete required financial crime submissions.
Facilitate financial crime reviews and manage follow-up actions to address any findings.
Conduct enhanced due diligence on clients and third parties.
Offer expert guidance on sanctions-related referrals and screening alerts.
Assist in ensuring the business remains compliant with relevant financial crime legislation and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated experience in financial crime, compliance, or a related field within financial services, including policy implementation and control monitoring.
In-depth understanding of financial crime regulations across the UK, EU, and US.
Knowledge of the general insurance sector, including its products, services, and market practices.
Strong ability to identify, assess, and manage financial crime risks effectively.
Skilled in interpreting complex data, forming sound judgments, and delivering practical, actionable advice.
Proven stakeholder engagement and team collaboration skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
High level of organisation with keen attention to detail.
