Job Opportunity: Financial Risk Manager Are you ready to take the lead in analysing and managing financial risks for a dynamic and customer-focused organization? We’re seeking a talented Financial Risk Manager to play a key role in shaping risk mitigation strategies and supporting critical decisions, particularly in capital management. As a Financial Risk Manager, you’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across finance, risk, and other business functions to deliver insightful analysis and drive strategic outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Develop and maintain stress testing tools to assess the financial impact of risk events on profit and loss statements and balance sheets (IFRS17 and Solvency II).
Ensure governance and control frameworks for these tools, maintaining comprehensive documentation and adhering to model governance standards.
Produce stress tests that inform key business decisions, including half-year and year-end Combination Stress scenarios and reverse stress tests.
Lead capital management scenario analysis for full-year and half-year reporting.
Contribute to reinsurance purchasing analysis and develop contingent management action strategies.
Lead regulatory stress testing exercises, such as the General Insurance Dynamic Stress Test and Climate Biennial Exploratory Scenario.
Provide insights into solvency positions through financial analysis, supporting decision-making at all levels.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified actuary with strong expertise in Solvency II and insurance accounting.
Deep understanding of risk profiles in retail insurance companies, with insight into financial dynamics and market trends.
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and manage complex financial models.
Proven experience leading, influencing, and collaborating with senior stakeholders in multi-disciplinary teams.
Expertise in project management, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
