Financial Systems Analyst - Lloyd’s syndicate, SQL server, ETL, financial reporting,

Job Purpose

My client is seeking a highly skilled individual to assist on a large technology change programme for a fast growing and innovative Lloyd’s syndicate.

This role is focused on maintaining modular systems used for financial reporting. In additional to having an excellent systems and SQL server background, the ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of accounting principles in a Lloyd’s Insurance market setting.

Responsibilities: Systems

  • Implementation, configuration and maintenance of the systems used for financial reporting.
  • Delivery of the planned implementation on time within budget then transition of project to ‘business as usual’ process.
  • Ensure that all relevant financial and regulatory reporting is delivered on time and accurately.
  • Collaboration with all internal stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their demands and the wider needs of the business as whole.
  • Enhancing ETL to include additional data points and information as required.
  • Creation of robust lifecycle management to ensure fully auditable change control environment exists.
  • Able to identify and close gaps or issues in the process to optimise ‘end to end’ production of financial results.

Key technical skills

  • Excellent SQL coding skills
  • Strong grasp of accounting
  • Excellent IT skills especially Microsoft Office products including relevant project management tools.
  • Proven track record of implementing financial reporting requirements
  • Full understanding of technical requirements and concepts needed to implement changes specified
  • Risk Management Accountable for the effective management of owned controls including Audit liaison work.
  • Work with the key business SME’s team to understand the key risks, manage the processes and controls to mitigate these risks.
  • Proven track record delivering financial reporting solutions.
