About the team:

The Governance team embedded within the Governance & Delegated function is responsible for the first line oversight of the Product and Underwriting Governance processes, procedures and standards globally.

Duties:

  • Ensure on-going management and oversight of the annual product review process. Working closely with the underwriting community and internal stakeholders to ensure the programme is meaningful and successful and in accordance with the agreed framework.
  • Tracking of any Actions arising from Product Governance reviews.
  • Complete conduct risk and governance assessments across varying lines of business
  • Provide conduct support and assistance, both internally and third-party business partners
  • Undertake analysis of conduct/Product MI and ability to present the data visually
  • Assist the Governance Manager in ensuring the Independent Expert Review programme is successful.
  • Provide the Wholesale business with regulatory and technical advice.
  • On-going management and oversight of the Product distribution 
  • Ensure that for both Open Market and Delegated business that the assurance breach process is robust.
  • Assist the Governance Oversight Manager in ensuring that Governance policies and processes are consistent and effective across Wholesale globally.

Experience needed:

  • Have an understanding of insurance regulations and frameworks associated with a (re)insurance company.
  • Lloyd’s of London experience desirable but not essential.
  • Have experience of technical underwriting as well as Product Governance experience (preferable).
  • Have effective communication skills.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite, with a focus on Excel and be comfortable with manipulating and analysing data.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Lloyd’s/UK and international regulatory requirements is preferable.
