GRC Implementation Consultant (6 month FTC) 

We are seeking a skilled professional to support the implementation of a new GRC solution within a global insurance business. This role involves refreshing the risk and control register and driving key risk management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to the following areas:

  • Risk Mapping: Align functional objectives, risk sources, events, causes, and consequences.
  • Control Documentation: Document controls operated within EMEA, ensuring consistency with established standards.
  • Indicator Proposals: Develop indicators for performance monitoring, early identification of risk causes, and control effectiveness.
  • Workshops:
    • Facilitate sessions to allocate risks and controls regionally and locally.
    • Conduct workshops to assess and rate risks at the regional level, incorporating local perspectives.
  • RCSA Process Mapping: Map and document Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes, including related support and dependent workflows.
  • Training Materials: Create comprehensive guides and training to support risk management and business users.
  • Data Preparation: Prepare and transform risk and control data for migration into IBM OpenPages.
  • Reporting: Design and generate reports using IBM OpenPages.

Required Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for a candidate with:

  • Industry Knowledge: A background in insurance, with a solid understanding of operational processes.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with the EMEA regulatory environment.
  • Risk Documentation: Experience documenting risks and controls.
  • Risk Frameworks: Knowledge of risk appetite and tolerance levels and their integration into risk and control registers.
  • GRC Platforms: Proven experience working with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
  • Workshops: Expertise in running risk and control assessment workshops.

Desirable Skills and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will also have:

  • Business Analysis: Experience creating detailed process maps.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory obligations registers.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Hands-on experience with IBM OpenPages.
    • Working knowledge of Cognos for reporting.
