We are working with a boutique risk carrier who are looking for a new Head of Actuarial to join their team in London. This role reports into the CFO and will manage a team of 3 of analysts to part qualified actuaries. This is a very important hire for the business as this role will sit on various committees and present to the board. Our client are looking for someone who is looking to step up into a more senior role and who has a commercial mind set. This role can progress into a Chief Actuary position.
The responsibilities of this role are varied but will cover reserving and underwriting risk policies, SII TPs, risk modelling, SCR calculations, standard formula model development, and team management. The company focuses on non-Lloyd's P&C and Liability lines.
The ideal candidate will be qualified with 8+ years of UK based commercial experience. A reserving background would be of preference, but our client are also open to pricing or capital backgrounds with reserving exposure. Management experience would also be highly beneficial for this role.
This role will require you to be in the office 3 days a week and our client can only consider individuals currently in the UK with full working rights.
