Head of Compliance (Health & Benefits) Salary £100,000 London/Hybrid
Working alongside the Chief Compliance Officer for UK&I you will provide compliance oversight, leadership and advisory support across the UK&I Health and Benefits’ activities, resources and staff, supporting the business in maintaining compliance with the requirements of industry and government lead regulation, within a framework of business efficiency. You’ll engage with senior management to set up, monitor and maintain adequate and appropriate systems and controls that will ensure that the firm meets its regulatory requirements and manage the regulatory requirements of the firms sitting within UK&I Health and Benefits team in relation to the FCA rules and guidance for Health and Benefits’ activities with which firms must comply. You will provide advice, support and, as necessary, management of any parts of UK&I Health and Benefits’ business FCA compliance planning and to report progress to relevant Boards and Committees on a regular basis whilst managing and overseeing the Health and Benefits Compliance Team, collaborating with and drawing on resource from the wider UK&I Compliance Team as required.
Areas of focus
Work with senior operational management to ensure that compliance systems and controls remain appropriate.
Ensure that operational management are briefed in good time to ensure compliance with regulatory change.
Manage assigned projects and contributes to other project as required.
Provide relevant management information to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Senior Management of the UK&I Health and Benefits businesses.
Deliver on any Health and Benefits relevant components of the overall UK&I compliance plan.
Ensure that the Health and Benefits compliance team makes use of timely and insightful data to inform their understanding of regulatory risks and customer outcomes across UK&I Health and Benefits.
Skills and Experience
Strong knowledge of FCA requirements specifically relating to health, benefits and life products within both ICOBs and COBs.
Good knowledge of FCA requirements in relation to investment, pension and mortgage products.
Leading a compliance team.
Working with Board level management.
Strong regulatory focus.
Health, benefits, investment and mortgage product regulation.
Experience at senior compliance management level or above.
Industry recognised qualifications desirable but not essential depending on relevant experience.
Demonstrable experience of setting compliance policies and standards.
Demonstrable experience of setting compliance programmes and oversight planning.
