Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking organization, is currently seeking a highly skilled professional to join their finance team in a key role. While no two days are the same in this position, here's an overview of the core responsibilities:

  • Utilise the Oracle FCCS application for the quarterly and annual consolidation of the AUL group structure.
  • Complete, coordinate, and submit related financial notes to Head Office in the DIVA format, ensuring compliance with reporting timetables and Group standards.
  • Manage responses to Head Office queries on consolidated results, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders.
  • Implement effective financial processes and controls for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure all tasks adhere to documented processes and propose process changes when necessary, keeping manuals up-to-date.
  • Engage and support the Syndicate Financial Reporting Manager and AUL Controller in specific finance projects, providing insights on implications for consolidation systems, processes, and controls.

Key Deliverables:
This role plays a pivotal part in achieving the following outcomes:

  • Timely and high-quality FCCS submissions on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Demonstrate understanding and insights into prepared information through effective presentations and reviews with senior stakeholders.
  • Execute financial control processes and quality checks, including the review of manual journal adjustments, technical intercompany transactions, and associated reconciliations.
  • Drive improvements to Head Office Reporting, including potential enhancements to automation within FCCS and DIVA submissions, system changes, and process efficiency improvements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the broader close process, fostering collaboration with stakeholders throughout the end-to-end process.

You must be; 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) 
  • Prior experience working within the Insurance market
  • Knowledge and experience with reporting under IFRS 17 and UK GAAP
  • Excelllent prior consolidations experience 
  • Oracle experience is advantageous 

Salary is up to £90k + fantastic benefits and hybrid working
