Arthur are delighted to be partnered with a leading reinsurance broker who are seeking an Infrastructure Architect to join the business on an initial 6-month contract basis.
As part of a growing architecture and engineering team, you’ll play a critical role in defining and delivering our cloud infrastructure, working closely with leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Architecture & Engineering, the Infrastructure Architect (Azure) will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. You'll lead cloud adoption efforts, ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, and deliver solutions that support long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud environments
Lead initiatives such as Cloud Adoption, Landing Zone design, Cloud Readiness, and Maturity assessments
Manage and evaluate MSPs/CSPs to ensure quality solution delivery
Oversee migration of on-premises systems to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption
Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a high-performing team
Stay abreast of evolving cloud technologies and best practices
About You You are an experienced cloud architect with a deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, a background in regulated environments, and a passion for building modern, secure infrastructure. You're comfortable in a scale-up environment, confident working autonomously, and always ready to roll up your sleeves to solve complex problems.
Key Qualifications & Experience Required:
Deep experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and Microsoft 365
Strong expertise in Azure services: Backup, Security (Zero Trust, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel), Governance, Containers (AKS, ACR), SQL Databases, and more
Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell)
Solution Architecture experience, including cloud, security, and hybrid models
Skilled in DevOps practices, automation/orchestration tools
Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Demonstrated success in regulated industries, preferably financial services
Desirable:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
Experience with security compliance and performance optimisation in Azure
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
