Insurance Risk Analyst

Arthur is excited to collaborate with a Global Insurer in their search for a Insurance Risk Analyst to join their dynamic risk function, currently undergoing an exciting growth phase.

In this role, you will be focussing on the quant side of insurance risk and provide oversight - working with Reserving, Underwriting, Pricing, Exposure Management, Outwards Reinsurance, and other business areas to contribute to the development of a robust risk management framework.

The ideal candidate doesnt have to have a risk background, this is something that can be taught - the hiring manager comes from an actuarial background and was keen to get a holisitic view of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster strong stakeholder relationships.
• Conduct independent analyses to provide fresh insights into exposures and performance.
• Support in-depth risk assessments across various areas of the business.
• Assist in risk management activities, including risk identification, monitoring, reporting, and implementing effective control measures.
• Champion a culture of risk awareness.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Lloyds Market insurance/GI
• Ideally a candidate from Pricing/Reserving/UW
• A degree in a numerical, statistics, or mathematics-related field.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• 1-3 years of experience
