Interim CRO - Lloyd's/London Market

I am working exclusively with a speciality insurer who is seeking an Interim Chief Risk Officer. You will take on a pivotal role at the intersection of leadership, innovation, and governance. As a member of the Executive Committee and Boards, you will spearhead the identification, evaluation, mitigation, and monitoring of the company's diverse risk landscape, encompassing underwriting, market dynamics, strategic imperatives, operational intricacies, and safeguarding our invaluable reputation. Your mandate includes offering independent financial insights within the Group, providing vital quantification and understanding of risks, and ensuring the adequacy of technical provisions, capital models, underwriting, and reinsurance policies. Leading and managing key functions such as Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Analytics, Compliance, Legal, and Company Secretarial, you will be at the forefront of cultivating a culture of accountability and robust risk management.

Your responsibilities extend to developing an effective risk management framework, identifying and mitigating emerging risks, overseeing risk modelling, and stress testing methodologies, and ensuring compliance with regulations, rating agency standards, and strategic imperatives. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, engaging with regulators and industry stakeholders, and championing sustainability initiatives will also be central to your role. If you possess a wealth of experience in the non-life insurance industry, deep knowledge of Lloyd's/London market and regulatory environment, a robust understanding of underwriting, claims, and investments, and strong leadership and communication skills, we invite you to apply.
