Are you a seasoned financial professional with a background in corporate accounting and experience in the dynamic world of Lloyds Syndicate? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

Arthur have partnered with a Lloyds Syndicate Insurer to support with their search for an Interim Financial Controller for a 6-month contract to support the corporate finance department during a busy and critical period. You will report directly into the Finance Director, and play a key part in BAU and project work for the duration of the contract. 

Key Responsibilities

As an Interim Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a range of crucial financial control and corporate accounting activities, including:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, working closely with various departments to develop financial forecasts and plans
  • Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
  • Variance Analysis: Analyse financial data, identify variances, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow and liquidity management to optimise working capital
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and industry standards

Experience & Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) 
  • Corporate Accounting Background: Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of financial control and reporting
  • Lloyds Syndicate Experience: A background in the Lloyds Syndicate market is essential, as you will be working within this specialised sector
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing financial control functions within high-pressure environments

Other Information

  • Hybrid Working: You will be required to work in their London office 3 days per week 
  • Rate: £700-£900 per day depending on experience 
  • Start Date: ASAP
