An opportunity for an IT Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a large portfolio of small to medium-sized projects within the Insurance IT team. The IT Project Manager will own and lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects to time, cost & quality, and proactively engage and manage relationships with Business, wider IT teams, and third-party stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
Own and lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects within IT team to time, cost & quality.
Assist and support the IT leadership in their identification and scoping of new projects and the roadmap for the IT area.
Systematically and proactively manage issues, risks, and change to projects to protect delivery.
Form virtual project teams with Business representatives, Project Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers in the delivery of projects.
Using own experience and initiative drive innovation in project delivery methods to improve delivery methods and techniques across the team and wider EMEA IT.
Day-to-day management of team Jira board
Support creation, development, and delivery of application/product roadmap(s)
Requirements:
Degree level or equivalent qualifications
A depth and breadth of experience in the successful delivery of Projects of various sizes including but not limited to: Traditional Waterfall and Agile methods, Scrum, Complex systems integrations, Packages and Bespoke built software, On-premise and Cloud platforms
Experience of owning the delivery of a portfolio of projects end to end from scoping/inception through to Go Live and handover to application support.
Experience delivering projects across the Software Delivery Lifecycle
Strong personal drive and initiative to deliver successfully with minimal direction.
Strong relationship building, team working, and stakeholder management skills
Financial Services, Insurance, or London Markets expertise (desirable but not essential)
Experience of working in a regulatory environment (desirable but not essential)
PRINCE2 or PMP certifications (desirable but not essential)
