An opportunity for an  IT Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a large portfolio of small to medium-sized projects within the Insurance IT team. The IT Project Manager will own and lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects to time, cost & quality, and proactively engage and manage relationships with Business, wider IT teams, and third-party stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects within IT team to time, cost & quality.
  • Assist and support the IT leadership in their identification and scoping of new projects and the roadmap for the IT area.
  • Systematically and proactively manage issues, risks, and change to projects to protect delivery.
  • Form virtual project teams with Business representatives, Project Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers in the delivery of projects.
  • Using own experience and initiative drive innovation in project delivery methods to improve delivery methods and techniques across the team and wider EMEA IT.
  • Day-to-day management of team Jira board
  • Support creation, development, and delivery of application/product roadmap(s)

Requirements:

  • Degree level or equivalent qualifications
  • A depth and breadth of experience in the successful delivery of Projects of various sizes including but not limited to: Traditional Waterfall and Agile methods, Scrum, Complex systems integrations, Packages and Bespoke built software, On-premise and Cloud platforms
  • Experience of owning the delivery of a portfolio of projects end to end from scoping/inception through to Go Live and handover to application support.
  • Experience delivering projects across the Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Strong personal drive and initiative to deliver successfully with minimal direction.
  • Strong relationship building, team working, and stakeholder management skills
  • Financial Services, Insurance, or London Markets expertise (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of working in a regulatory environment (desirable but not essential)
  • PRINCE2 or PMP certifications (desirable but not essential)
