Arthur are working with a Lloyds syndicate who are looking to enhance their Compliance procedures by adding a Junior Compliance Assistant to their team. This is a fantastic entry-level position for someone looking to grow within Compliance, offering great exposure to the Insurance industry.
Duties
Help with the drafting, implementation and embedding of such policies, procedures, processes, systems and controls as may be required to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and, where appropriate, market best practice.
Assist in the allocation of regulatory reporting responsibilities (business / compliance timetable) via SharePoint and assist in the monitoring of adherence to the reporting deadlines as well as ensuring regulatory filings are made on a timely basis.
Assist in maintaining the overview (both in terms of completeness) of the Managing Agency’s policies and procedures (master document index) and monitor adherence to the review deadlines.
Assist in the review of the sanction batch screening and on-going returns from the due diligence screening tool.
Assist in handling sanction referrals in line with the Managing Agency’s approach. Assist in the review of the sanction batch screening and on-going returns from the due diligence screening tool.
Upload the active policies file (batch) issued by IT to the sanction screening tool.
Contribute to the reviewing the sanctions and embargoes high-risk country list.
Assist in the adherence to the firm’s prescribed responsibility of its obligations under the outsourcing part of the PRA Rulebook
Assist in organising the Managing Agency’s Board and Committee meetings as appropriate and in accordance with the Compliance Analyst
Contribute to the annual review and assessment of the Managing Agency Board’s performance and effectiveness.
Assist in other Governance matters or projects as appropriate and in accordance with the Compliance Analyst
Keep up to date with market bulletins / regulatory articles in order to manage the agency’s horizon scanning
Assist in advising the business on compliance related queries as well as design and provide training as appropriate
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of TOBAs as required
Assist the independent review process in terms of compliance related queries and provide compliance commentary on all classes of business
Assist with internal audit as applicable
Assist with data related queries alongside the Data Protection Officer
