Lead Claims Handler - Clinical Negligence

Arthur is delighted to be partnered with a market leading firm who are looking to further grow and expand their London claims team by bringing on board a Lead Claims Handler who has got experience of handling clinical negligence claims.
 
This role involves providing a claims handling service to members who are facing clinical negligence claims. You will be managing a portfolio of claims, applying technical expertise to achieve the best possible outcome for each case. The successful candidate must ensure compliance with legislative requirements and adhere to service standards. Flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential. The position requires working closely with a team of claims handlers at various levels, offering support and assistance as needed.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage your own caseload in alignment with the Claims Handling Protocol.
• Support fellow team members in the claims handling process and foster a positive team environment.
• Investigate, assess, and negotiate claims effectively.
• Assist and guide members throughout the claims handling process.
• Stay informed on current technical and legal developments relevant to the Claims Handling department.

What You Need:

• Claims handling experience in clinical negligence or other relevant business area such as personal injury, general insurance, or legal environment is essential
• Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules
• Good negotiation skills
• Knowledge of IT systems, particularly in house (COMPASS & PROFILE)
